Post Italiane have informed us that an unauthorised strike has been ongoing since 00.01 CET on the 10th February 2024. It involves personnel at Malpensa airport and is preventing the shuttle service between the Office of Exchange and Malpensa Air Mail Unit.

The strike has caused disruption to inbound and outbound mail handling despite contingency measures. Local authorities are engaged in mediation between the parties with an end date not known at present. As result, delays may be experienced until the situation returns to normal locally.
