Lithuania’s post advises that the government has extended the full-country lockdown until April 30 in order to control the spread of the coronavirus. While the lockdown is in place, postal services will continue to operate under certain restrictions, including a reduced workforce to minimize physical contacts between people. Items normally requiring the addressee’s signature upon delivery can be handed over without signature. The processing and delivery of all types of inbound and outbound mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) will continue to be affected, and the post is unable to guarantee compliance with the usual delivery standards. Therefore, the situation of force majeure declared will continue to apply.
