Botswana Post have informed that a cyber security incident occurred on the 29th March 2025 resulting in a temporary period of service disruption when a ransomware attack was detected & contained.

While the investigation is still ongoing, and as a precautionary measure, local postal services will remain suspended and IT services will remain unavailable until the post are certain that the issue has been fully resolved.
