Correos, the Spanish postal operator, have informed that the implementation of a new messaging system is currently causing delays in the customs processing of items destined for the Canary Islands (postal codes 35XXX and 38XXX), as well as Ceuta and Melilla. The system change is also affecting, to a lesser extent, certain items arriving from outside the European Union and addressed to other postal codes across Spain.

Ground Handler Strike

Spanish Post have informed that an indefinite strike by ground‑handling unions will begin on 30 March. The action will affect Madrid and Barcelona airports, among others, for several hours each day. As a result, processing delays may be observed.
