Nepal Post have informed us that a catastrophic flood on the Bhotekoshi River at 8.40 (local time) on the 26 August 2026, has caused a major loss of life and property in the Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan districts, including damage to major highways.

As a result, the processing and conveyance of all domestic and inbound and outbound international mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) in Nepal are subject to disruption, which is expected to last for several weeks.
