La Poste has updated that the wildfire situation affecting the Gironde (33) and Landes (40) departments is now under control.

As a result, postal operations are progressively returning to normal across the affected areas. To mitigate any residual operational risks and ensure the continued stability of postal services, La Poste is to extend the current notification for a further 72 hours.

The list of affected municipalities remains unchanged from the previous notification.

Affected zip code areas are:- 33950 – 33970, 33138 – 33510 – 33740-33148, 33380 – 33680 – 33121, 40460 – 40600, 40160, 33127–33160–33185–33700, 33320, 33520, 33700, 33127, 33610.

As result, all postal operations are affected in departments: – 16, 17, 23, 24, 19, 47, 33, 40, 64, and 87.
