bpost have informed that demonstrations will take place across Belgium, by the country’s national trade unions in protest against measures taken by the federal government.

These actions will directly affect mail operations such as: – 1) national railway network will not operate normally from Sunday, 8 March at 22.00 for a duration of 72 hours. 2) All other public transport will not operate from Wednesday, 11 March at 22.00 to end of Thursday,12th March. 3) On Thursday 12th March, International Airport will not operate, Schools and Hospitals are on strike, National demonstrations will take place.

These industrial actions are expected to affect various postal services across the country; hence delays are likely observed during and immediately after the demonstrations.
