Membership has its privileges — the most important of which may be shipping. Free shipping and fast delivery are highly valued elements of any membership service. New research from Connexity Inc. shows that late delivery could prove a deal- breaker when trial members decide whether to continue as paid members.
That report shows a third of online consumers belong to e-commerce shipping programs. Many of those memberships are free trials, and thanks in part to late deliveries, 43% of shipping club members might not renew or pay for full memberships. Stated simply: 9.7% of all shipping club members are considering non-renewal because of late deliveries.
