Google Inc.’s new tracking of websites using “mobile friendliness” lowered some sites’ traffic measurably, according to the new Adobe Digital Index Q2 2015 Digital Advertising Report. The report finds that search visits fell by as much as 10% for non-mobile friendly sites compared to the prior year. The swing in favor of mobile devices us is marked. The Adobe Digital Index expect mobile traffic to surpass desktop traffic within the next 18 months.
Adobe based its report on its clients’ 890 billion digital ad impressions from search and social platforms and 21 billion social visits from social network sites.
